The Bear and I saved over $750 per year on two vehicles by switching from Allstate to Geico about a year after moving to Hawaii. I did a lot of research before switching and found that Geico was generally rated very high on customer service by their Hawaii policy holders. (I have always been sure to get uninsured motorist coverage, and believe it to be essential.)
We had previously been insured for over 20 years in Georgia by State Farm, but their local agents in Hilo were not eager to cover us despite never having had a homeowners' claim and no auto claims or tickets in over 10 years. They kept finding hoops to make us jump through and making snarky comments, so we went with Allstate until we found how much money we could save with Geico. Unfortunately, Geico would not insure our home due to the fact that we have a Rottweiler. Otherwise, they seem great.
Cheers,
Jerry
