Squash vine borrer - JayJay, et al.
#2
No problem with squash so far with one exception. I have a friend with acreage at 250 feet and several years ago I planted one squash there, it grew and grew for three years and became a sprawling mess into his pasture area and had to be cut back so it wouldn't grow across the road going in. Hundreds of flowers which were good for salads but it never gave any fruit. I can' recall the name of the species but I bought it somewhere locally and it was supposed to be some type of American Indian stock from the Southwest. We laughed about it for years.
