My wife saw an article in Sunday's local paper that dealt with health insurance laws in each of the 50 states. The document describes certain rights we have under federal laws that ensure we can continue health insurance coverage once we leave the workforce; you cannot be turned down for a pre-existing condition. Yes, if you're eligible (and most of us are) you're guaranteed that you can continue your insurance coverage once you move to Hawaii. The bottom line is that you have to have current group-coverage to get insurance but, if you don't have current group-coverage insurance, you can be excluded for pre-existing conditions.
