Just curious if these schools did anything to you or your property that would piss you off so much personally?

Personally? No.

In concept? Big Time.

The school is in violation of multiple regulations and their attitude lends me to belive they don't care and will violate other reegulatiosn if they please. They are literally telling the people that they are above the very regulations that were made to protect the people.

The 2 issue surrounding the schools are not complex.
1. They opened a school in violation of zoning. Did they ask permission to open the school? Did they apply for the proper permits in advance? Did they solicit community input? The answer is NO. They just ignored the rules and did what they wanted and now are crying because they got caught.

But instead of addressing this issue, they throw out excuses and diversions. They want you to ignore the repercussions of zoning violations and focus your attention elsewhere. Of course, their actions send a clear message: Go ahead, ignore zoning requirements and do what you want, the rules are really for the other guys, not us.

2. There are serious health and safety violations at the school. Did they address safety and health issues before opening? Did they consider these issues relate to the health and welfare of children? Are they correcting the existing violations or compounding them? The answer is NO. They just ignored the safety of the children and did what they wanted and now are crying because they got caught.

But instead of addressing this issue, they throw out excuses and diversions. They want you to ignore the dangers of having children in unsafe conditions and try focusing your attention elsewhere. Let's come down hard on things that endanger our children, unless we happen to be the ones endangering the children for in that case, let's just ignore it.

I have not heard one answer from the school, parents or supporters that justifies this outright disrespect for the people and the regulations that are here for OUR protection. And, let’s not forget we are not talking about a bunch of adults who are endangered, we're talking about children who don't have a say. As a society, we have a duty, an obligation to those who can't help themselves. Those children don't need our pity or understanding, they need our protection because their parents obviously don't give a damn about them.

If we accept these violations, don’t complain when someone else decides it’s their turn to open something you don’t want in the community. For that matter, let’s just throw out the entire zoning code and let whatever happens happen. Let’s throw out all health, safety and fire regulations, and just take our chances.

I'm often told that Puna is not the place to live. Read any board discussing Hawaii and you hear the same thing. Puna is the other side of the tracks, stay away, washed out hippies, bunch of ignorant poor people, an open trash dump, have no respect for themselves, live in shacks, anything goes, thinks WalMart is a classy store. ice heads, a trailer park without the trailers, filty, blue roof city, and all the other things we hear whenever "Puna" is mentioned. Well, you know what, this reinforces that attitude. If you don't care about the rules designed to protect your community and the children, you are what people say you are.
