Property Management/Rentals/Tenants and Questions
#32
"Sub meter and panel - less than $200. We sub meter our tenants at the boat slips we rent out, install them ourselves. I have seen regulation sub meters for less than $50 another $100 for a panel to accommodate it

keeps the tenants honest - grin"

sorry, i don't know much about sub meters. but, does it just show the usage? and/or is there a separate electric bill? was told by an electrician to install a separate meter and bring in more power that way there would be a separate electric bill?

"Careful, I'm not sure about your tenant situation. But, I do believe that tenant has every right to have that light on even when they aren't home (yeah that sucks). That tenant also has privacy rights...that you may be infringing.

-------
The more we speak up... the more they will listen."

nope. part of the house rules she signed when she signed the lease. also, she leaves her door open and has given us permission to enter the premises at any time. i just try to avoid her when possible because i'm tired of her snippy remarks and calling me names. yeah, and i'm the landlord?! anyway, it goes on and on. so this will be my last post about THE TENANT. why do i let her stay? because she's older (83 this year) and i feel sorry for her. her kids very very rarely visit her. her latest comment is, "i hope my last check bounces." would be my luck to get the last check!

malia paha o lohe aku

perhaps they will hear
"a great many people think they are thinking when they are merely rearranging their prejudices."
