Carrie, I'm impressed with you choices of groups. Okay, I can relate to most of them too. I saw three groups from your pick that really don't do much for me though. They are, 'Supertramp'(One album wonder "breakfast in America"), 'Blue Oyster Cult'(Godzilla is the only song that I can recall that they did), and 'Rush'. Rush, pretty good, but I can take them or leave em...no problem.
Fleetwood Mac, are we talking about Peter Green era, or Lindsey Buckingham/ Stevie Nicks era? Pretty big difference between the sounds of the two eras. Personally I liked both times that Fleetwood Mac had. While living on the westside of Maui during the 70's. I was hired by John McVie to work for his house in Kahana area of Maui. Seeing that you like the music of this era Carrie. You really missed out not living on Maui...rock stars everywhere!!!! I had so much contact with rockstars it's just incredible!
I saw Jimi Hendrix play in Kula. He made a documentary/movie then called "Rainbow Bridge",filmed entirely on Maui. Guitar players for 'Lynard Skynard',picked me up hitchiking once in Kaanapali. I sold pakalolo to Rick Wakeman(Organ player for the group 'Yes') on Kaanapali Beach once. Was at the wedding for Bill Spooner(lead guitarist for the 'Tubes'). My friend steve Lendersmit, took care of Steven Stills fishing boat in Lahaina. It was the island of Rockstars back in the 70's. Today maui is still the home for Mick Fleetwood, and Pat Benatar just to name a few.
Oh, the late Randy California of the group 'Spirit' (I gotta line on you Babe)died near his home on Molokai while swimming.
back to topic. Some of my personal favorite groups of the seventies, and these are just a few mind you, and in no special order either.

7.)Almond Brothers Band
8.) Big Brother & the Holding Co.
