Les and all... the chat room has only been open for about 48 hours. I am talking it up to give people an awareness that they can talk real time on any subject. For example, national politics is not an appropriate subject for punaweb (as determined by the host and moderator of the web page) but it's fine in the chat room.
What I like about the chat room is that things aren't written down for all time; it is like a cafe discussion over coffee or a beer; just expressing ideas of the moment. More importantly it's a good chance to have a quick question and answer discussion. Lastly, it is meant to just be fun.
As for the other chat rooms yes they too are unmonitored and uncensored. This is definitely not a place for kids, but then Punaweb does not cater to children anyway.... and the page is NOT SPONSORED by Punaweb or Rob or anything else...just me.
That all said, if you want to stop by, that is cool. I think over time patterns will emerge and maybe even posts will go up saying "if anyone can talk about growing coffee, I will be int he chatroom from 7 to 8 tonight" or something like that. It's just another fun communmication tool for those who don't hit the outside world as much. Saves gas!!!
