I was born in Reno but lived most of my adult life a little NE of there in Lemmon Valley then in Sun Valley -- about 5500 feet, a little higher, drier, hotter and colder than Reno but not nearly as extreme weather-wise as Elko. Haven't been to Elko in many, many years but have a friend who just sold her business there and moved down to Silver Springs near Fallon. Still have a lot of Nevada ties. Welcome to Puna.
