Hawaii: Message in the Waves (Plastic Waste)
#15
Cary, in the late 1960s, a man named Archie Ericsson proposed to the state, a school lunch, complete breakfast and lunch leftovers plus all plates and utensils totally biodegradable and composted seperately! paper plates and wooden utensils (sporks). This would be somthing you can compost and trust what's in it! Otherwise the compost won't be safe for anyone!

Your correct about people not sorting, they won't! And unless what you recycle pays off to justify the work, most people won't sort!

I think a lot of people visualise a truck coming to your house weekly like back home! With our present tax base, we'll do good to keep a dump running!

The Honokaa operation just tried to replace plastic with paper a roadside outlets, I believe Tex's was an originator of it! Are they using plastic containers now?
