We got a 20 foot container. It was preety high off the ground, about 8 ft. (From memory, others can probablly give you an exact number). Total cost to Nanawale, which is pretty deep in Puna, was 5800 dollars. I would definitely do it again. It was worth the money having all our stuff. I priced driving a Uhaul to my dads house in the bay area and loading the container there, but it would have costed more and been much more of a headache. The container was on the abck of a truck. To actually get it off, you will pay a huge amount of money in the middle of Idaho (get the correct machinery to your house, extra time, etc., which all costs a ton of money). I got a ramp from the local uhaul. It was a bit dangerous, but if you have help you can get it done. Hope that helps.
