spinach can be a tough start. Try warm wet paper towels.. couple layers.lay the seeds on and cover with another wet papertowel. Place in a window where it gets sunlight for warmth. It's worth a try!
Once germnated, put into peat moss or potting soil until you get plant with leaves a couple inches tall.... then they can go into the ground. If you put your newly germnated plants into the garden the chickens will grab them because they look like worms
