Water (hydrogen) as a gasoline substitute? NOT

These proposed "air cars" are very interesting and I have been keeping an eye on them for a few years. The range is poor and simply would not make sense on the mainland. But on an island...................?

The MDi business model was designed to provide for regional manufacturing with facilities producing as few as 2,000 vehicles a year.
Might this mean it could actually be possible to envision a Puna Auto Industry some day?
