All of our freedoms under the constitution are interdependent, which is why its fortunate that amending the constitution is difficult. Weakening any of them weakens them all. I also wish more people could see that.
Given the ability of modern media to influence and or fabricate the news, I wish it was even more difficult to amend the constitution. Generalizations should be avoided, but it should be obvious that most Puna Weber's are considerably more informed on the state and local issues than the majority of voters who depend on the media for all their information on issues. As Esnap says, listen to some of the exit interviews of voters and you have to be frightened at the lack of knowledge on the issues these people just voted on.
