I seem to remember a couple of houses in HPP installed this barrier when we were looking into it (off of Makuu???) Ameron Hawaii:

sells the termite barrier at their Sand Island (Oahu) yard, $78.55/ton on their web site:

The main thing on this product is the sieve size.... basalt is EVERYWHERE, all you need is a grading sieves sorter set at #8 & #16.... do not know if any of the aggregate dealers on island HAVE accurate grading, but if they do, it is just a matter of grading the available aggregate... (also do not know if there is any product protection on this, as it was developed with CTAHR.... there could be....)
