You can continue any topic from the past (even from 2 years ago),if the tread is available.
Though the search is down,but "members" part still have old information there.When you click on a member's name,you have an option to "view all not archived posts" by that member.
When you click on any thread in that list,you have an option to "reply" ,as you reply to current threads.If people keep posting,a thread is alive,even if it is 100 years old []
