The Puna Sustainability Expo has been rescheduled for this upcoming weekend...
Event Description (from Puna News):
Malama o Puna and the Kanaka Council are co-sponsoring a sustainability expo on Saturday and Sunday, September 27th and 28th under the tents across Pahoa Village Road from Pahoa Feed & Fertilizer. This two-day event is in response to the current recession, high gas prices and spin-offs from same, and the need for us all to become more self-sufficient in our personal lives and as an island community.
The expo will feature vendors who sell products such as alternative and low energy appliances and systems, agencies and non-profits who can provide assistance in home food production and storage, groups who can demonstrate self-sufficiency skills, and lots, lots more. Any individual, group or agency wishing to participate is welcome to call Rene Siracusa at 965-2000. Workshop presenters and demonstrators are also welcome. The event is free to all participants and to the general public.
Don't put your family at the mercy of big oil, Young Brothers or mainland imports. Learn how to be a free and independent person. We are Puna and we can do it. Put this event on your calendar -- you can't afford not to.
