agreed. what i don't get is that the realtor, seller or developer is not checking up on the properties. if they said "as is" then that would be different.
that particular house with the mold on the deck/lanai and the bleeding nails faced south with all the bedrooms facing north. i don't recall the exterior paint finish on that area. i do know that the interior and the front door were painted with flat paint.
another brand new home that we looked had flat exterior/interior. but, the mold could only be seen on the eaves (spelling)/overhang. i don't know the finish on that area either.
getting back to the bleeding nails: this home in kailua, o'ahu, has them. i don't believe that a nail gun existed 50 years ago, so can only attribute the rust to age and corrosion from the salt air? what can you recommend to "spot treat" the heads? we've tried several things to no avail.
