The "bailout" isn't 10 percent of the amount of money needed to fix the problem, and a real fix is simply not in the cards. It's very doubtful that if passed, that the "bailout" would have had any significant positive effect. It would be much more sensible to give that money to deserving families and to extend unemployment benefits than simply pitch it down a rat hole with no guarantees.
