how cold is it at 2000 ft elevation?
#31
Thanks for all the different views. I am concerned about safety (as any mother would be). I do feel like I have reasearched this topic for the past 3 years. When I looked at property last year I was very interested in what the nighbourhood looked like and who I would be living next to. When I become serious about a property my realtor and I will go and talk to the neighbors and make sure it is a good fit.
About work, I have read many posts about how hard it can be to find work in Hawaii. We are "bringing plenty of cash". It should be enough for at least 1 year of living. But that being said my husband is looking online for a job now and when I was there last year I gave out his resume. He does marble/granite work, doesn't seem to be very big on the Hilo side (and much better on Oahu) but he would be willing to do any work. And by then I will be a midwife, don't really know how profitable this field is but I love it so I don't really care!!!
I did just ask about the the weather but any info on any subject is helpful.
