All Those Punawebber Sign Waivers!!!
#8
This is the first campaign we have ever gotten involved in... One of the reasons why is that throughout the primary, this candidates' campaign cleaned the roadways (11 & 130) rather than sign waving.... I felt that it was much more sane. The sign waving is a tradition that goes "way back" on this island. A quaint custom to many mainlanders, annoying to some. But this is a traditional that many locals expect.

As to why this campaign is now sign waving, it may be that the volunteers no longer wanted to clean up others trash & wanted to sign wave rather than clean the same area of the road with all of the garbage that was tossed out every week, or it could have been the motorist that chucked garbage directly at us... but a change in campaign strategy was made.

I credit This one candidate for at least trying to do something beneficial with his volunteer force, but the campaign needed to increase their visibility & volunteer force & listened to those who were willing to put in the front line time.....

But at least for a few months, sections of 11 & 130 got a cleaner as some volunteers were willing to clean up the roads....
