Interesting info in the HTH article. It seems Fred Blas was "instrumental" in bringing these businesses to Puna. I already voted for him, and I'm glad I did. Hopefully, the Long's will charge the same prices as its other outlets. The Foodland/SacknSave affiliated Malama Market seems to charge about 10% more than their Hilo outlets for the same merchandise. Does it cost an extra 10% to haul the stuff 20 miles? I doubt it.
