Since we have the acreage, we are considering fencing some and having some cows or goats, maybe a horse or two. Here (on the mainland) we would have to carry liability insurance in case the animals escaped or if someone trespassed and was bitten or otherwise injured. In order to get this insurance, you have to have what is known as a "working farm" where you are actually earning income.
