They're Back...................

Coming from N. CA, I am wondering when the best time to plant tomatoes and other "summer crops"? I understand that the seasons are far more subtle in our new home and that some things are less "annuals" in that temperate climate. I bought a couple of tomato plants at True Value and planted them before we headed back to the mainland to pack up. When we get there in January, it will be interesting to see how they have grown. It was basically an experiment. Our house is in Hilo, so we get plenty of water. I am going to put in a few raised beds and get things growing.
