The Orchidland association is the OWNERS. The Board of Directors are owners in Orchidland. These lawsuits are being put forth against the Association (owners) and the Board of Directors, (also owners) who are volunteers. Would anyone want to hold a position in which a couple of disgruntled owners are able to sue you directly, and you have no liability insurance against them. That is what the fund is for, is to have some money in the bank in case these guys file more lawsuits. Personally I think we as the owners should be doing some counter suing against these stupid guys that keep the association in a turmoil with there petty lawsuits, which is where so much of our much needed road fees have gone for the last two years, in paying the deductable on our liability insurance. As far as a receiver goes, they would need to be paid for there services as well. It is just so frustrating that a handful of people can cause such a mess, and they just keep doing it, and the owners have to keep paying to answer the lawsuits that they keep generating.
