what about the impact... ? I wonder if Lingle or our senate ever considered that when they rolled over on the law? After all, laws are made for a reason, and to have our politicians exempt their pets from the law whenever it suits is the crime here. It would have been so easy for Linda and her gang to say 'follow the law' from the get go, and let the chips fall where they may. But no! favoritism is the rule of thumb this side of the pacific, and the superferry folks were suckers to play into that game. They could have said, 'hey we want to do this right, we want to pass all the hurdles BEFORE we begin service', but no! greed is the basis of the American way.. and greed screwed em all. I am personally very proud of all the parties that have worked so hard to uphold the law. And, like the superferry or not, I think all those that worked so hard to craft the laws of our land should be respected for all that they have done.
