It isn't mentioned that the landfill we speak of is UNlined. EPA requires all such open landfills to be tightly lined to avoid leaching out to the enviro, and this is everywhere nationwide, ours is damn near oceanfront, and mixing with the watertable but not lined. Worse yet, before, during the burn facility debate, "one flourescent light bulb dropped on a towel and put in the facility would create enough toxins that we must reject yhe facility". We did reject it, and now we all have to use mercury laden flourescent bulbs, and mercury is the major fish toxin in the ocean. Tell me no broken ones are improperly disposed of. Mabe to them, they're just shore fish, but that stuff travels and has marlin damn near inedible.
