I'm sure growers had their fair share influence on the entire industry. I myself was extremely upset back in the mid seventies on Maui seeing some growers there trade their sacred sacrament for cocaine!!! I knew it was the start of the end of something really good during the early 70's once this practice started to become the norm! Back then growers would trade a pound of herb for an ounce of insecurity. Then they'd sit in their closet and let their world unravel.
