Dish network or Oceanic Cable???

if there is an earthquake and most of the island loses power (like in oct 06) - cable in Hilo lost power - we didnt and so were lucky enough to be able to watch CNN and see what was going on with the earthquake.

Dish isn't affected by power outages unless the power at our house is out.

Cable is getting their feed off the sat right ?
