Of course its May and everyone is attacking the same problem!! ha ha
We are fixing sheet rock and insulating ceiling etc in a loft room that was always unbearable even in the winter during the afternoon. We added two 3' x 2' openings (already a 9046 window existing) and screening them (eventually awning or jalousies will go in but not this week!) Also when the sheet rock was being fixed it allowed the old guy to get into the attic and add gable end vents and insulation. The temp dropped about 10 degrees in the loft in the afternoons. When the trades are blowing it is totally comfortable, when they are dead the loft still ends up with a chimney effect and is cooler.
Has anyone had any luck with floor venting on P&P? Does it create enough air flow and how many did you need to put in if so? Did anyone check actual temp under house? What is the temp diff under house and ambient interior temp?
