Moving forward: The Digital Era on the Big Island
#22
"...In order to take a class at our Learning Center you must become a member of the national organization for an annual fee of $40..."

So if there are 10 students taking these classes every month that's a lot of Kala considering I see more then 20 classes taught last month alone.

Are these seniors then "penned in" for that annual fee of $40.00 each year there after?

I'd like to see one of those contracts.

"Introduction to the Computer; Basic Word Processing; and Internet & Email."

I enjoy the concept of getting Seniors involved and hooked on the internet... but charging them $40 for the national organization... then charging them another $73 bucks for 3 classes where they learn how to word process, surf the internet and use email?

$113 per senior citizen??? Times how many senior citizens on this island?

Oh geez... I need to look into something like this.

I wouldn't even need to charge the national fee and everything could be done for free at a public library.[Wink]
