Puna Futurama 2020 & 2050
#6
Hawaii always will have the drawing power and since Puna is the the only remaining affordable area in Hawaii, its population will skyrocket. The property prices still will remain below the prices of all of the other parts of Hawaii because of the lack of infrastructure. (No, that will not change much as long as the mentality of the politicians and NIMBYs will remain the same.) Pahoa will become the second Hilo and the area residents will not have to go to Hilo for everything as they do now.
