With SB 1458 being debated yesterday in the House. I asked myself is Hawaii County ready for this? Besides the obvious, being me. Who is 110% behind the idea of medical cannabis dispensaries in Hawaii County, and state.
Sure, the same old voices will oppose such a move. The far right. THe Church, and the vast majority of the GOP. Ah, let us not forget law enforcement. The folks who stand to lose the most if this happens. So naturally they will in all likelyhood have the loudest voice in opposition to SB 1458. Ever stop and wonder why all retired police chiefs & cops support medical cannabis? Why do they get it, yet their still working co-workers don't?
If the House is able to pass their version of SB 1458. It would mean only one dispensary(on Maui), on a "five year pilot program". With video camera running 24/7 with feed going to police station. I openly oppose their(House) version of SB 1458.
Let me start by saying we don't need a pilot program. WE can "Cherry Pick" the best parts of programs already up and running successfully in their states. Going with a 5 year pilot is just dragging ones shoes.
Please leave your opinion here. Hawaii's medical cannabis community needs your opinion on the matter.
