This event is not scheduled until September 17, but the Second Annual HPP Chili Cook-Off is accepting entries from interested chili cooks. There is a $5 entry fee, but a good many nice prizes will be awarded. Last year most of the entrants won some sort of prize which included gift certificates at Kaleo's restaurant, bottles of good wine, pizza certificates, movie passes, and other goodies.
Interested cooks may contact us at HPPWatch@aol.com . The HPP Chili Cook-Off is sponsored by the HPP Neighborhood Watch. Last year's event was a big success, and we hope to do even better this year.
Edited to add: We are also looking for new and repeat donors for prizes. All donors are mentioned on the PA system as prizes are given out, and our attendees tend to thank them with their business.
