Oink,
If you reread my post you would notice I said that " I also think the "founding members" over there are not likely to be posting here under a fake identity, I think they are mostly more honest and direct than that." which could be construed as defending Punaonline when someone suggested the trolls here were the people who spun off on their own blogs.
I still think that the ongoing sniping at Rob and Punaweb could have motivated some portion of Punaonline readers or members to think that it is a really cool thing to screw with Punaweb. Is that the founders of Punaonline's direct fault, no. Is it a predictable outcome of what is said there, yes. It doesn't take much encouragement to make some people think they have been given a green light to be cyberjerks.
I don't participate in Punaonline because so far it is more about people dissing Rob and Punaweb than it is anything else, and that isn't a conversation I am interested in, and not because I am concerned that Rob might "see you as a traitor." I am still waiting for a conversation or topic that I find interesting enough to join, but the site does keep adding members so that could happen someday. Although, one of the site moderators posting a new member's ISP addresses and workplace website just because they didn't like them was more than a little creepy to me.
