republic, frontier and southwest airlines
#13
I'll never forget my first trip on a Delta L-1011 from Atlanta to London. After about two hours, I asked a flight attendant why we weren't out of our initial climb. She smiled and said, "This is a great aircraft, but it flies on the slant." And yes, some of the FAs struggled with the drinks carts. It was, however, one of the smoothest, most comfortable planes in my long history of long-haul flying.

Bringing this back to Hawaii, I believe Delta used L-1011s on their Atlanta-Hawaii service in the late 80's and well into the 90's. Anyone remember for sure?

Cheers,
Jerry
