HPP Robbery- Paradise and 8th on Friday
#6
Another sad story, and I'm sorry to say that stealing pets is not at all unheard of. This is part of an alarming increase in burglary in HPP, but that is not exactly news any more. The thing about the gate locks being unbroken is not new, either. I know of a number of cases were burglaries, construction site thefts, and thefts from cars have been accomplished by entry on foot from the rear of the lot. The perps take only portable, high value items and make their getaway through the woods without ever even appearing on the road in front of the victims' houses. One construction site was victimized so often that the criminals had actually worn a trail through the woods to the next road over. They apparently stole a truckload of lumber and not one, but two, catchment systems by carrying them away piecemeal like ants.

Neighborhood Watch is your friend. Contact us at HPPWatch@aol.com. This sort of spree has been really good for recruiting, but frankly, I would rather get new members some other way. Waves of all sorts, including crime waves, eventually subside, and then complacency will set in once again. Until the next one, anyway.
