I have been steering clear of the argument having lost my fascination with guns long ago.... My initial post to follow the court and its relation to Hawaii .
But as to to the facts.... gun owners are 4 times more likely to be assaulted by a weapon than non. - lack of training being the issue in my opinion
The issue isn't guns.... its the adrenalin and fear driven john wayne behavior of the owners - again opinion
but the facts speak for themselves... gun owners are 4 times likely to get shot....
Now to really start a rant .... check out this tidbit....
"Historically, says Hall, homicide rates are at their lowest when
social-democratic policies govern nations. The US homicide rate was
halved in the decades following the Depression, when the social
democratic policies of the New Deal replaced ailing free-market"
