I agree that Quinn's has great fish and chips when over on the Kona side. On that same block, there used to be a place a few doors down from the Fish Hopper (or Oceanview Diner originally) in that open air place that was the best. It was called Kona Style Fish and Chips. Unfortunately, it went bye bye and there is some other eating establishment there now. Too bad.
In Hilo, Ponds (the restaurant previously known as Harrington's) has some very acceptable fish and chips. I will wait for further reviews before sampling the fish and ships at the Ohana Grill.
