Yes, I too wonder why vog seems to be a well kept secret here. The Oahuians whine about it in Honolulu, but it is well diluted by the time it gets there. We, in Puna are within 15 miles of the origin & the SO2 must be dangerously concentrated. I feel like this will have serious consequences in the future especially for the people in Pahala. They are directly downwind (during trade winds) & levels there are quite high. I feel bad for the children. The news reported Hawaii has the second highest level of asthma in the nation hmmm - wonder why? [
] After being here 5 years, I notice it's worse in Winter, is this true? This latest vog run has made me seriously consider moving elsewhere. Anyone else think this is more serious than reported?
