Shipping containers?
#10
We purchased a 20' shipping container in early December 2009 to ship some belongings around Christmas to the Big Island. We were told by the company where we purchased the shipping container that we had to get a seaworthy certificate (I think that's what it was called), even though the shipping container had only been used once. I seem to recall that the certificate cost around $50 or so. I don't recall having to jump through any other hoops to ship our container. The companies we dealt with in Seattle were very helpful in regards to how we needed to fill out the Bill of Lading and such.
