Any Local Success With Low Chill Fruit Trees???

I've noticed that Walmart stocks low chill apple, plum and peach trees - which are supposed to grow and produce fruit in our area.

Researching just a bit, there was an online article about a resident in Keahou who had managed to grow peaches in impressive numbers.

Friends in lower HPP had some low chill blueberries going - but the rain caused rot problems.

While I love living here, I miss my midwestern rearing which included the enjoyment of freshly harvested peaches, plums, apples, cherries and almonds.

Anyone try low chill?
