man's contribution to that 6" is probably in the neighborhood of 1/4", the rest being nature.'s fault
Source? Citation? Imagination? Baseless supposition? Opinion that fits a preexisting belief system, with no actual research required, but allows the believer to still sleep at night? Wow, that made me thirsty. Think I’ll get a glass of water from my 10 year old, reusable blue plastic bottles filled with Waipuna county water. “Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.” - Mark Twain

quote:In my experience "troll" is a lame term used by similar people to describe others who aren't, or who differ in opinion from them. It's as tired and worn-out, and, well...lame as lol. My style may be pointed, but I am engaging in legitimate debate. You think my opinions, which are mainstream, or nearly so, are outlandish, and could only be proffered by a "troll". Your perspective is wrong. If you want an example of an outlandish opinion, look at glinda's opinion that all plastics should be banned - a move that would wreak havoc on our economy if enacted. Now THAT is an example of outlandish. I support the bottling facility because, for one thing, I am a capitalist and support capitalism and such ventures as this. It is economic activity that will better the lot of Americans. You don't see me, regardless or how outlandish I feel their opinions are, calling for someone to be banned etc., because I believe in the free exchange of ideas, i.e. Free Speech. You, I gather, not so much. Speaking Truth to Lies / Facts to Ignorance

you are a troll.
I think that's settled science, but still wonder if da buggah's Russian. His taking points are the same as the others that regurgitate that pap.

quote: It is a SWAG based on my overall impression of the situation, from pre-historic times to today. Looking at research and the bias and "fudging" (hockey-stick comes to mind), as well as the flawed nature of temperature reading stations that, because of changes in their surroundings and the heat creation and retention of those area that exist now than didn't before. A station that used to be in an orchard, is now, due to development, in a major airport where, surprise, surprise, the temps are now higher than before in that localized area. Now, riddle me this. I'll ask a pointed question or two. Do you "believe" that there have been numerous "ice ages" where temps were much, much colder than now, as well as interglacial periods where temps are much, much warmer. Do you believe man or nature caused them? Do you not understand how much more extreme these temperature swings were than anything we are experiencing now, and that all by itself, the climate changes dramatically? Isn't it possible, almost certain that the recently-recorded temp. increases could exist or be caused entirely by nature, and would happen even if mankind has gone extinct 20,000 years ago? So, given all these MASSIVE climatic swings, how can you possibly be concerned with such a miniscule change as we are experiencing now (correcting for changes in the micro-climate due to development around the temp. reading stations, or even otherwise). And why would you be willing to dial-back on civilization, development of natural resources and products derived therefrom in the interest of a "possible" fix to a miniscule issue most likely not even caused by the things you wish to throw away? All talking points, all from breitbar, infowars, and naturalnews, all made up, and irrational. Though them Russian trolls sure can go on and on. I suppose working for bread, when the store shelves are bare, is a pretty strong motivator. Carry on Open.. a guy's gotta make a living, I suppose.
