Kapohocat,
Apology accepted...extrapolating is just like assuming.
Also, no need to call me 'dear'...that's reserved for my elderly relatives.

Kapohocat,
Well "lil' missy" (<< That is the same BS you pulled previously to Wahine) you don't live down here in this subdivision. This place happens to be the most far removed from the rest of the Puna neighborhoods as well as the most secluded and you don't know our local scoop, so your idea on whom is doing it carries about as much weight as a fly on breezeway wall.
When you’re done extrapolating your theories based on zero personal experience with this matter, realize how much assumption guides your opinion and keep that in mind for future opinions.
Do you see me assuming what goes on in Leilani Estates, HPP or any other subdivision with regard to their most local matters? No - you don’t. I don’t live there and I don’t know what sort of helicopters are flying over them, nor do I know the peoples within the subdivisions on a neighbor communication type basis. So… I don’t know the persona of the other subdivisions but I do know a great deal about mine as well as nearly half its residents personally. The half I don’t know, I’ve heard about.

If you are picking on me you are leaving someone alone who cant handle it! I know there is someone out there who is probably thanking me!
Have a swell day.
PS you referred to "Puna" not a subdivision. I was using my experience as a long time previous resident of a specific subdivision, one that SB just finished working in for now last Friday, one that many of my friends still live in! And i almost forgot, their Association secretary in the mid 90's.

Susan,
There are some topics that just seem prone to people getting nasty and more snarky. Anything related to pot or helicopters or gay marriage or racially inspired violence in the schools are consistently hot button issues that have brought out the worst in people here in the past.
There are also some posters whose written tone just gets some other people's backs' up, and then it can go all down hill from there. Don't let one thread put you off, this is not how it generally goes here, most people have disagreements and then let it go, rather than either calling each other names, or double and triple posting to make sure everyone gets their point. In other words this thread is an exception, not the rule.
Note: no persons are specifically mentioned here by name, so unless the shoe fits, don't wear it.

You two are just waaay too uptight and trigger snappish to belong in Wa'a Wa'a. I know you don't think so, and your disagreement with my statement is assumed, extrapolated, noted in advance. But nevertheless, the lack of fit screams out ...
Contrary to Wao's indictment that none of know nuthin about "his" turf, people do go there, at least I have spent time there. The guy who gave me a tour was extremely laid back and mellow. He had lived there 15 years or so. I am wondering if you guys will mellow out too. I hope so.
I recently had the pleasure of arranging a fish transfer with Cat, over the phone, and she did call me dear, and it was lovely. Did not make me feel like an elderly relation. Nor did she sound like Betty White. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Kapohocat,
I’m not picking on you, just pointing something out.
The old trick of removing or defacing street signs to “hide-out” dates back to many years before Meth was re-popularized within the past 20 years.
No doubt Meth is an issue throughout not only Puna but also much of the rest of the world. If there is a Meth lab down here in our subdivision, it won’t last long. Folks here in our subdivision know more about one another than they care to.
The running gossip is that our property, before we owned it, once had a lab on it and our neighbor burned them out. We had a visiting relative in law enforcement check out the site and they concluded that the fire was not Meth related but due to having the battery bank and inverter inside the shipping container that they also used as a house. Not such a bright idea to keep your battery bank inside the “house” next to your bed and not properly ventilated…
We’ve no public water, power or land telephone lines for a 2 mile radius here. So we don’t have line helicopters out here running inspections, we had a search and rescue helicopter out here one day flying about our local coast and that was evident when the Coast Guard helicopter was flying around with it. I’ve watched the helicopters pick up water and fly it to locations to put out fires. I know when the tour birds fly over as it happens from time to time and is weather pattern related. I also know when we have drug enforcement helicopters out here; they all do differing things and navigate differently too.
I also know what an IR camera looks like and it’s mounting as well as what topography sensing equipment looks like.
I would also prefer they legalize pot though I have no desire or intention to smoke it and am fine with my Coronas and Captains when I want to loosen up. I dislike the waste of tax money on the pot “war” and I dislike the side effect crimes (there’s a bunch) that are committed due to its illegalization.
I also know our sign defacing is due to a few foggy minded people in our subdivision and could name the person responsible. It has nothing to do with meth in this case.
As per the type of equipment I initially described in this post, it does exist and it is used by law enforcement around the globe all proven and cited within this thread. The agencies involved in and collaborating with one another here in Hawaii have the budget to afford the equipment cited.
Arguments to the contrary are simply silly.

With all due respect, Kathy, I have been very civil to people on here. Perhaps due to your ADD, you misunderstood my comments to Kapohocat. Who said anything about sounding like Betty White? Only my elderly relations call me 'dear'. Using that term in a forum such as this to someone you don't know, as opposed to using it with someone you know on the phone are two different things. Kapohocat apologized and I accepted. I have not seen a reply from her to my last post, so I'm extrapolating that she and I are fine.
Your lack of knowing where we fit in is screaming out. As I already stated, we are on very good terms with ALL of the neighbors we have met on our road, and we've met all of the ones currently living here. Did you miss that part due to your ADD?
Edited for typo
