The "Eagles" are correct in saying that "freedom isn't free". It's nurtured by people exercising their right to peaceful assembly as much as by those of us who have served in the military.

At this point, I'd be happy with representative government. It'd be a good start.

I've spoken with Libertarians, as well as Progressives here and find that the to groups have much in common. In Georgia, a prominent left leaning group formed alliances with two right wing (Libertarian) groups, in a successful campaign to overturn unlimited political bribe money.

If these two groups unite locally and nationally, we would be unstoppable.

It should be noted that much of this (continuing ) issue is about money , but not in the way that you may imagine . Jim keeps up his persona as an outraged community activist , pushing as many issues and matters as he can possibly be involved with , for the sake of generating the creds he needs for an endless stream of grant money. Big bucks . He has done this ceaselessly for many years and lives off of these very funds . The flow of funds requires a steady track record of far Left activist actions and initiatives . It is his business , it is about income / money . Of course he fully believes in his own propaganda and all that he protests , but the bottom line is money . He makes very little off of the kalo that he gets 'volunteers' to plant and harvest for him. This has been his pattern for many years , way back to the late 60's when he got the idea from his buddy Neil ( Neil Abercrombie ) yet notice how much they have to do with each other these days . They are both ashamed of one another . I truly believe it does not matter which issue Jim sets up to demonstrate against ; PTA and DU , war in general , Geothermal , HELCO , Merril Lynch , the 1% , supposed support for SOVRNT , etc etc etc ; they all come down to the same thing : MONEY for Jim . He is an expert at gaming this system and also an expert at misinformation and hyperbole , seducing many otherwise well meaning people into subscribing as his minions in order to add weight to his own substantial girth , unwittingly setting him up for the lifestyle and living that he has come to enjoy and require . He commonly recruits from one group to another ; ie: MoveOn/Occupiers to anti-PTA , and vice versa . For a lot of the young folks it's just fun , for Jim it's future money from grants . Few look at this . He is a very disingenuous person at heart . It's so amazing that so many are willing to keep helping him make a living without working for it . People should look at this very closely. Thankfully , the State of Hawaii and the Land Grant Trust DID look at his application , of trying to get the 99% ( of Hawaii tax payers) to provide him with an addition 10+ acres of non-conservation ,abandoned dracena farm land contiguous to his commune in Kurtistown . We tax payers were almost burdened with giving Jim over a quarter of a million dollars for something that he did not earn in any way , nor did he deserve in any way . Perhaps he secretly harbors ambitions to join the hated 1% , via a stealth approach by using grant money and applying for land Trust awards of free land ? Nothing he does , or is up to , would surprise me . People should know . Eyes open , ohana . Mahalo nui loa

Can you provide evidence of all this "grant money" he gets? He paid the ultimate price of activism and still continues to spread the message every week, road side, rain or shine, in addition to other projects. What have you done. Talk is cheap. Let's see some evidence.

He has become arrogant and smug , using his implied 1st amendment rights to advance his soft sedition and traitorous dissent agenda quite openly . As a subject of interest to a variety of law enforcement organizations , the evidentials are piling up . As well as with those who tangibly assist and participate with him . Of public record are his attempts to convince the State of Hawaii / DLNR Land Trust org. that they should buy him the contiguous abandoned dracena farm , owned by the bonzai ohana , so he could claim it as 'endangered conservation land' ( since he had seen a Io flying over it ) . His intent was to expand his socialist activist commune . I believe this is all public record . Do your own homework . We the tax payers appear to have been spared from this burden , as of now . We continue to watch for any of his attempts to get the 99% to pay for his 1% goals & hidden aims . I agree, Jim has been someone who has been speaking out for years. He supports self reliance from what I know of him and care for the land. Anyone who lives here holds that kuleana. So far, what I know of his work, he is a good guy. Grant money or not. He supports the community.I'm so thankful he speaks up.

Sorry Eagle, but as a combat veteran, I'd like to believe that I fought for Jim's right to peacefully protest. The real traitors are those who profit from war and those who blindly accept the status quo.
