Verizon Personal Hotspot

Depending on the model of your phone you can easily "jailbreak" your phone which is 100% legal as long as it is some type of "smart phone" and not a "tablet" (like an iPad)

I have used a "tether" via my phone to provide myself with free and unlimited internet. I would describe the connection as excellent and have even successfully played online multiplayer computer games via the connection as well as streaming via netflix et al.

I would never pay my provider for this service which my phone already is 100% capable of doing by itself already!

As an endnote being able to tether your phones internet onto your computer is an incredibly convenient option at times!

Cheers

The salesman at Verizon said I'd never use 5 gigs AND at the end of the month I should be able to download a movie. So being the dufus that I am, I believed him. Loaded the free program "Bit Meter" and was surprised to find out how much is actually being used. I'm off grid here in the forest, sure miss Oceanic.
