So if somebody signs up here, they don't get a discount? http://www.hawaiipetroleum.com/

We have been using the HFN fuel card for a number of years now and I really like it. We get one bill a month which is automatically deducted from our credit union and get an itemized receipt showing all the various taxes paid. This month's bill is approximately $170 for 2 drivers and 2 cars, of which roughly $145 is for the gas and just under $30 in taxes (approx $8 to Feds, $11 to State of HI, $1 for "local tax" and $6 in "sales tax".

One of the things I really like about the pumps at Shipman is you can buy real gas with no added corn alcohol (89 octane). A number of boat operators had major problems with the added alcohol fouling and or dissolving their tanks and seals, and sometimes leaving boats stranded at sea.

The 100% real gas costs a little more than the gasahol mix, but since alcohol has roughly 20% fewer BTU's per unit volume I have calculated the cost is about same per mile driven. But the cars seem more responsive and the seals and gaskets aren't being degraded as much by the alcohol. The weedeater runs a lot better too.

They are also a source of red (non highway) diesel and bulk lubes.
Been using them since 2006 and think it is a good service and quite convenient.
I like getting the detailed invoice and paying once a month.

Terracore - the 15 cents is not a promotional rate - it's the regular discount.
My bf been using them for years.

They also sell biodiesel at the Shipman facility, although it's a bit cheaper straight from Pacific Biodiesel just up the road. Works great in our generator!
