genetic testing on humans where they count the chomosomes is expensive (amnio etc), but to "sex birds" it's actually pretty cheap, so I'd call a vet. You never know. It might be only 20 dollars somehow.

It seems to me that this is a serendipitous opportunity for someone interested in genetics and/or animal husbandry to do a study, so I am putting out feelers to UH-Hilo Ag Dept.

I would think many many researchers would be willing to pay out of their own pocket in order to check out this rarity.

I got a photo, but for some reason my computer doesn't recognize when the camera is plugged in, so I can't download it to Kodak Easy Share. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Mush more important...Do you have a name for this little fellow - as surely this is a guy you can name with confidence! (my mom always told me you never name dinner - not to worry for me, as I would have a hard time eating anything I saw alive - I be a wussy on those things!)

I don't know how to fix that. Do you have a cell phone? If you took a photo with your cell phone you could text it to me and I could put it online for you.

I would dump the Kodak Easy Share software, and try to get the photos off manually and organize them yourself. There is nothing easy or sharing about that software - and i write software for a living.
