I feel it's a bit harsh to jump to the racism word with anything anyone has said on this thread. There was a bit of ignorance flung around by the two arguing parties, but racism is more than just some paragraphs on a forum. In fact racism is more about actions rather than words. People say allot of mean things out of misdirected emotion but this is not really racism. Maybe it's more like misdirected blame and someone who feels connected to the group that is being blamed and thus feels obligated to defend such people.

Hey now.. odd thread eh?

I made the offending comment.. but I made it as a matter of fact.. not as a racist statement. It is a fact that white men have been better killers.. have practiced more genocide.. and via all sorts of inhumane behavior pretty much been the biggest baddest guy at any party going for hundreds.. thousands of years. Though to be fair they haven't been alone in their desire to dominate all they see. But damn are they good at it.

And it is a fact that the racial gender makeup of big business is predominately white male.. and Monsanto aint any different. Google it.

Racial killing, genocide and war slaughter are not the domain of the white man. Ghengis Khan, the Rape of Nanking, Hutus and Tsutsis, Kamehameha...the list is anything but exclusively white.

Now the racist commenter is defending his words as 'fact.' How sad, but it shows the entrenched, self-reinforcing mindset that perpetuates it. My sympathies for the ignorance you must suffer. And I repeat, why does this site tolerate it?

If dakine stated that big corporations were male dominated at the top, would he be sexist too?

I don't see why telling the truth is racist, one might be more racist by lying about the truth

Both pro-GMO and anti-GMO advocates will believe they told the "truth" at the GMO meeting the other night.
