Cement patches on road 1
#11
cement patch jobs never lasts, especially when it was instant type poured while road was in use (pour and run)... and on top of gravel dirt wetness? and nearly a foot deep in some holes etc..
asphalt is flexible, cement is not... it often turns to gravel and dust when used for potholes... quick fix at best

save our indigenous and endemic Hawaiian Plants... learn about them, grow them, and plant them on your property, ....instead of all that invasive non-native garbage I see in most yards... aloha

moose person, you seriously have issues. actually scary. nasty and hateful. like cancer eats you from the inside. get help. the most frightening part is you live amongst us. stay anonymous I really don't want to know anyone like you.
if anyone knows about the C-9 road that area is under water during heavy rain sometimes not passable use to be just big rocks cause the road was gone .
birchl , the old saying something is better than nothing , the holes were horrible , harc never even made an attempt to repair anything .
gogould the road grader made things worse, lowered the road , pushed all the gravel off the road to the sides .

The one who says it cannot be done should never interrupt the one who is doing it.

The concrete patch's were a good temp fix during the days of dry.
Now that the days of wet have returned, the wear n tear of traffic is busting the temp fixes apart on their own.No one has done this on purpose,it started to degrade on it's own due to many facets of it's own temp repair methods.Shrinkage, hydrology, weight of passing vehicles and lack of knowledge from the kind souls who are the do gooders who made a temp difference at the time.
The HARC folks own nothing, the grader is privately owned by a resident in HA.That person and a few others happen to be on strike, our own ohana has been BANNED by the HARC board from doing any free repairs to their roads as we are taking work away from their friends.
Welcome to the board Mr.Hate and Moose Bow Toe .
Be nice and pleasant, calm down,it is sunday and a day of warm Ua .
Rd 1 is long past it's healthy prime, should be in a retirement home already.Since no one on the HARC board actually drives daily on Rd 1,why should they care.
Only HARC board members make the roads nice to their homes, nothing new ,and as for the placement of concrete on C n 9 - our ohana helped with much of that work, and to this day it has saved many lives.
I for one as does my wife, welcome all inquiries to the truth of the HARC inner circle ,that the HARC board keeps a top secret from every one but them.
Maybe the courts can get to the bottom of the corruptness since the HARC board is unwilling to help, any one but them selves .
But we digress,no one but father time is degrading the cement paths on Rd 1 .Cement takes 52 years to harden and 52 years to degrade, except on Rd 1 where it takes but a few weeks.
Only r doing the entire road surface and getting it up to grade and drainage will do the job,OR rip out the bad sections and turn all back to gravel and box scrape weekly.

My question is the same, did anyone see the damage ?
Trust me I am well of the fact that vehicles traveling the road can damage it.
That is not what this appeared to be.
If you feel that this wouldn't happen by the fine upstanding members of this community, I say read the above posts.

We drove in and out today,no damage that is anything new since yesterday,it is falling apart on it's own,due to the design methods used in the 1st place.
Temp fix at best.
As soon as the kind souls who started this were pau,it had already started to bust apart in ways known to occur with cement used in this fashion.
It is all about gravity and time.

Actually there really aren't that many people prepared to be that malicious. To spend hours and effort just to make other people's lives miserable is an attribute shared by only by the saddest souls.
I too would like to welcome moosecock and, although I think the sentence about the donkey was maybe a little over the top, I do understand his frustration.

birchl ,, you are right ,,, although the rumor of donkey porn came to me from a reliable source ,, the prison ,,, hahhahhahah

trying to stay on topic...... yes we need reform and accountability ,, neither of which do we get from our federal or state government ,,, and ourlocal government has always been mired in corruption and scandal,,, so why do some of those neighbors expect that the elected officals in Hawaiian acres should be above reproach .

There are so many experts on this thread I just can't imagine why I would doubt one of them.......in spite of not one of them ever seeing the damage.
Mimosa, you keep a good eye on things now. We know there's no way you could possibly do anything else to help.
