I think the flash of light is directly related to ignited gas from Uranus.

It's my understanding that neither the sun nor the moon shines in Uranus either. That's why it's dark.

Uranus is often seen as a cold and desolate place, but in fact it is extremely volatile and alive.

A 2.2 micron wavelength emission simply demonstrates Uranus to be a brown dwarf.
